In 1998, when the soil of Malaysian art was still impoverished, Anthony Meh and Aman Yap Choong Boon established the first full-time professional dance group of the Malaysian Chinese community. In tune with the dance group’s English name “Dua Space”, which implies the coexistence of sharing and communication, the group has performed in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Britain, Spain and so on since its founding in 1998, and has brought the art of Malaysia to the international stage. With twenty years of hard work, they have won numerous prestigious awards at homeland and abroad. Recent well-known performances include Amidst The Wind, The Lotus Sutra, Ancient Inscriptions and so on. They prepared the soil of Malaysian dance realm from scratch, and that can be regarded as the flower of perseverance that blooms from the concrete slab.
