Fred Chong (44) is an award winning media entertainment entrepreneur from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Fred started Prodigee Media in 2005 to focus on the emerging new media industry.  By combining his experience in business, entertainment and new technology, he created new business models for the media entertainment industry, including becoming the pioneer to leverage on social media platforms.

Fred Chong currently holds the position as Group CEO at Prodigee Media where he dedicates his time to focus on two key areas of his company, producing feature films for regional markets and growing his online media brand ‘WebTVAsia’ where he also manages his regional offices in Kuala Lumpur (HQ), Bangkok, Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, and Tokyo.

Today, ‘WebTVAsia’ is the fastest growing Digital Media Entertainment Company in Asia, with more than 1,000 channels (including top creators like Bie The Ska, Namewee, Son Tung, and Play three small games) and monthly views of more than 1 billion globally.  Fred’s upcoming film projects include working with Korean director Jo Jin Kyu (My Wife is Gangster) for his original work ‘Oppa Kim Sun Nan’ and also producing a remake of Thailand’s box office hit  ‘Teacher’s Diary’ for the China market.

As a multimedia designer specializing in visual communication and digital media, Helios Loo started his career as a photographer who is passionate about delivering high quality and creative works. He has since accumulated 12 years of experience in photography, specializing in lifestyle, portraiture, and virtual reality interactive content. His works as a contributing photographer for the Corbis Corporation are published in over 20 countries. The desire to make a difference leads to undertaking challenges in education as a guest lecturer for the digital photography course at The One Academy.
His path eventually crossed into the printing industry when Helios co-founded The Alphabet Press – a bespoke letterpress stationery company that is pioneering the letterpress print renaissance in Malaysia.
During the Ipoh Art Festival in 2015, he co-developed a letterpress board game to re-purpose the 80-year-old lead types restored from one of the oldest letterpress printing shops in Malaysia, which subsequently won the 2016 Golden Pin Award. The introduction of letterpress experience tour garners renewed interest in this beautiful and tactile form of printing. The Alphabet Press has been actively collaborating with local art and design institutes by sharing the story and know-how with a purpose to preserve, revive the centuries-old craft, and to make it relevant again into the modern society.
Nowadays, Helios is putting his experience in multimedia interactive installation, electronics, and programming to good use in the fast-growing field of LED display application. He recently completed a large-scale project to set up an intelligent digital signage network in an affluent suburb of Malaysia.

She was enlisted by Sin Chew Daily as 10 most celebrated writers in year 1999. Born in Malacca, Echo Koh Wee Sun was once a reporter and marketing manager after having graduated from HanXing College of Journalism and Communication. As a regular columnist, she has published numbers of articles in several press and magazines. She has written a few books like : Dan Shen Ju Le Bu, Wu Liao Cai Jie Hun, Kuai Le Nv Ren, Zuo Yong You Wei, etc.
In year 2002, she returned to her family and became a full-time mother. Thereafter, she has initiated three non-profit organisations, Johor Yellow Flame (JYF), Persatuan Penyayang Kanak-kanak Istimewa Johor Bahru (Special Child Care Association Johor Bahru) , and Class 47 respectively for social movement, caring for special-needs child, and parent-child activities.

Chang Sang Teck

Veteran music composer, record producer; Chang Sang Teck joined the KITA Workshop in 1987 after graduating from the Fine Arts Department of the Malaysian Institute of Art. He founded Halo Cafe in his early years. As one of the important promoter for Malaysian Chinese production, he devoted himself in creating awareness about local music for many years. He is an expert lyricist and music arranger, having a most recognizable voice with various music genres and is celebrated as ” The Malaysian Tsung-Sheng Lee ( a Taiwanese renowned music artist). Chang return to the music scene in January 2016 and started afresh as singer-songwriter, by launching his personal album ‘I am born Fortunate’ (我是好命人) which amassed positive comments. His representative musical work includes Taiwanese rock band, Power Station, (想你是臨睡的習慣) and Malaysian female singer, Fish Leong, (迷路).

A theater practitioner and educator, President of ASLI* and the advisor of INXO Arts & Culture Foundation. In 1988, Soon Choon Mee graduated with a drama and theater degree from The Chinese Cultural University, Taiwan and she obtained an MA in Performing Arts (Drama) from Universiti Malaya. She has taught drama at the Malaysian Institute of Art and at New Era College.

She is attached to the latter as a part-time lecturer. She is very committed in promoting community arts education and, in recent years; organized several community arts carnivals. In 2016, she was invited to join HongJieJie Work station to direct children’s theater, Her feature work were and .

Clarence Kang is an extraordinarily talented young man born with autism. An autistic savant — a pianist and an artist. He is Asia’s first pianist with autism that held his own recital concert. He was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). In his childhood, he easily memorized musical notes, he was able to arrange, transcribe music and analyze complicated chords without having proper education and training. At the age of 10, the young prodigy received formal education in music under the notable musical professor, Dr. Nicholas Ong and Mr. Tay Cher Siang. He is able to play music based on his photographic memory and he has composed a musical piano piece inspired by his life. He uses music to connect with the world and for the world to understand his world better.

Comic-strip artist, food & travel writer, and food curator; Craig Au Yeung Ying Chai is well established as a cross media artist from Hong Kong. Paying close and keen attention to culinary development and trends worldwide, Craig dedicates his time and effort in recording and participating in local food and lifestyle movement, with the special focus on food and creative education for the younger generation.
Craig has published over 20 books on design and lifestyle, food and travel. These including best sellers such as “Living Together”, “Home, Chinese Home”, “Half-Full”, “Born to Cook”, “Weido Hong Kong”, “A Taste of Taipei”, “A Taste of Shanghai”.

He set up Taste library at PMQ Hong Kong in year 2014 and planned the food flea market, launching his first “Craig’s half-full kitchen” event at Beijing in year 2015 to provide a rich background and create different occasions for contemporary food and lifestyle.

As the ex-co founder of IDP Media, Kenny Yek, who is the creative director, has keen interest in Arts and Technology. He created wide range of videos using various visual style combined with the cinematic aesthetic. His objective is to go beyond the standard format to create new spatial experiences through live audio visual performances and visual art installation that transcend time and space.

He discovered a new media movement , Technology + Art , using available technology and incorporate it with programming and coding for large scale projection or LED display for performances, launches and events for mass audience experiences.

Jun Ong is an architect and light artist with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Westminster, London (2014). He was the first Malaysian to be selected to showcase at iLight Marina Bay (2016), Asia’s leading light festival in Singapore with his interactive light installation, “Bolt.” His lighting installation, “Star” (2015) was nominated for World’s Best in Spatial Art at the Media Architecture Biennale 2016 (MAB16) in Sydney.

He was also commissioned by Goethe-Institut Thailand and Bangkok Arts & Culture Centre (BACC) to produce an urban interactive light installation at Siam Center.

Ombak Potehi* was set up by Ombak Ombak ARTStudio in year of 2015. Comprising group of young talent, they learned the art of puppetry, narration and music from the masters of Beng Geok Hong Puppet Troupe of Penang. They aspire to revitalize essence of Hokkien Potehi glove puppet theatre. The group has performed 3 stories that were written and produced by members themselves, which are “The Story of Malek” (2015) ; “The Monkey King Adventures” (2016) and “Kisah Pulau Pinang – The Story of Penang” (2017). The latter combined local languages, music and glove puppet costumes to depict authentic Penang features that belonged to the era of late 19th century.

Malaysian well-known debater such as Hu Jianbiao, Chen Xunliang, Xiao Huimin, Yan Jianghan, etc., have been trained and guided by him. He has often been invited to be the judge for debate tournaments in all over the world, that includes the World Mandarin Debate Championship and the International Chinese Debating Competition. According to Leong Chek Chong, who has joined the Catholic high school debate team since secondary form one, that debate is best to begin with primary school, as it is built on persuasion, meanwhile to face the challenges of the speech topic. He belongs to the strategic mentor, and “a knowledgeable scholar with a senior charisma yet humble”, is the debaters’ impression of him.
