Ser Shaw Hong earned his MA in Cultural Management from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and a BFA in Arts and Design from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He has broad teaching and educational management experience in arts and cultural studies (undergraduate and graduate levels) within the higher education institutions in Asia, including academic appointment at LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), The One Academy (Malaysia), Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Silpakorn University International College (Thailand), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Thailand), Raffles Design Institute (Thailand), Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University, UIC (China) as well as attending & speaking at various arts and design seminars. In July 2010, he was awarded as an Assistant Professor for Cultural Industries Management programme by Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University, UIC (China). In February 2013, his received Honor Award from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Thailand) on Outstanding Professor Award Since July 2013, he was invited by KDU University College (Malaysia) to be the Head of School for the School of Communication and Creative Arts.
